After explaining my brief to a group of people, I handed this questionnaire out to 40 of my peers, aged 17-21 to collect information to help me to see what the public would like to see from a music video. I felt the questions I asked/ choice of answers were direct and to the point as to be efficient because questionnaires can be long, confusing and boring. I feel i have effectively achieved valid results.
The results were as follows:
Favourite music genre: Indie/alternative
Favourite type of artist: Female solo artist
Favourite TV channel: 4 music
Music video appeal: performance & interesting visuals
I am pleased with the outcome of these results as I can now gather artists i think would be suitable candidates for the soundtrack and style of my music video. They must fall under the category of Alternative female solo artist.
